Finally made it in time for an animonthly,
so here’s my lucky themed pixel art animation from that seven leaf clover ep of Futurama.
Headcanons on why mages don’t wear armor:
- magic and mana corrodes metal (that’s why so many rpgs have heavy plated characters weak to spells)
- armor has no pockets for potions or books or herbs or snacks
- mages read and do alchemy in tiny spaces so armor gets in the way a lot and libraries hate clanking noises
- most mages are skinny weak ass nerds do u think they can wear armor
- mages are universally pretentious and dramatic and they don’t wear armor “to make it fair” for the other classes
DM: so you want into this store, and it’s small, but it’s filled with stuff.
Me: like a fantasy dollar store?
DM:….sure. Anyway, you 5 go up the counter where a goblin lady is. She asks if she can help you
Rest Of Party: *gets things they need, like health potions and gadgets.*
Me: do you have any hats?
DM: What?
Me: like really cool wizard hats. You know? But like subtle. And mysterious.
Goblin Lady/DM: uh, there is this one what but it’s really worse for wear. It has blood or rust and just-just grossness on it.
Me: is it better quality than my hat now?
DM: no
Me: I’ll take it.
I’m 30 hour OSHA trained and um….
You’re not supposed to apply stickers, paint, or markings to hard hats because they might conceal damage. You are ESPECIALLY not supposed to apply large amounts. You can get away with your name and mayne a small sticker. But that many? Garfield is getting a write up.

But anyway a specific artist actually hides this particular wizard in obscure locations around the city, particularly in abandoned places out in the woods;
absolutely fascinated by this raw pixels on an emulator vs how the game was actually supposed to look on old tvs twitter
People say that old games dont look as good as they remember
Its because they legitimately dont.
The βfuzzβ from CRT monitors was something that was definitely accounted for and taken advantage of back in the day when it came to video games! While this effect is noticeable in 3D games, itβs MUCH more visible when it comes to 2D sprites:
Just look how much more depth these simple sprites of Princess Peach and Bowser from Super Mario RPG seem to have when seen through the βdotsβ of a CRT TV screen!
I somehow did not know this!?!?!?
One of the clearest examples of this is using the effect for transparent waterfalls in the MegaDrive Sonic games
My absolutely favourite example of this is with Dracula's eyes in Castlevania
